Before everyone gets too excited this is one of those deals that works on the principle that the customer buys the device and then if they are not entirely happy with it, return it for a full refund, which is fair enough!
Therefore, you are going to have to front up around £300 for the tablet device and use it for up to twenty days to see if it is good enough or does what is expected of it. If it does good, if not then return it for a full refund with no questions ask, or maybe one or two.
You have to suppose that Viewsonic are thinking that the consumer is too lazy to go through the refund process or actually forgets to do it within the time frame, but whatever, so far this device is not setting the world on fire through rave revues.
This is how the ViewSonic ViewPad 7 “Try for Free” deal works;
You, the consumer, purchase the qualifying ViewPad (the ViewPad 7) from an authorised stockist.
Use the ViewPad 7 for up to 30 days (from the date of invoice/receipt). Please keep hold of the packaging and your invoice/receipt from the authorised stockist.
If you are not completely satisfied with your ViewPad 7 after 20 days (from date of invoice/receipt) please complete a Request to Return form (claims process opens 8th April 2011).
You’ll also need to send us a copy of your invoice/receipt as proof of purchase (the invoice/receipt must come from the same country as you are claiming from).
Once authorised follow the return form instructions to send the product back to ViewSonic’s agent (available from this web site). You’ll need to include original packaging. Always send via a Registered and Insured courier/postal service. Please ensure that you keep proof of sending just in case.
ViewSonic will provide a refund for the ViewPad 7 unit and cover reasonable postage costs (see Terms and Conditions).
For your peace of mind any personal data will be erased and unused parts will be recycled. Note we cannot recover any personal data from your tablet.
