Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of manned space flight

It is a sad testament to space travel that on 50th anniversary of when Yuri Gagarin first left the earth and travelled around the planet once on a mission that lasted just one hundred and eight minutes, that NASA’s fleet of space shuttles are on their final missions, but space travel is expensive and times are hard.

This is an amazing info graphic showing some facts on that mission, that started at 9.07 am on the 12th April 1961 ended when cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin bailed out of the capsule less than two hours later and parachuted back to earth!
