The First Video Games

If you were to ask people when the first video games came out the popular answers would be the late seventies or the early eighties, but it seems that despite all of the evidence pointing towards those dates they are in fact way off!

It turns out that the first video game can actually be dated back to the beginning of 1947, with its origins based on the radar equipment that would have been used to track inbound missiles and aircraft during those tense times.

Looking at the video, the screen has the appearance of an early Pong type game despite it being a missile style game with one player sending in the missiles while the other player has to shoot them down.
