Angry Birds going for one billion fans

It seems that being almost an overnight success is not good enough the people behind mobile device game, Angry Birds. Rovio the Finland based developer are planning to go for the big one billion of fans around the world, this would be a first form any game franchise. The rise of Angry Birds is truly phenomenal by any standards; it is just one of those games that happened to be hit with the owners of Smartphone’s!

According to Peter Vesterbacka, who is the boss of the Finnish developer company behind Angry Birds, Rovio, said at Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech conference;

“We’ve been told time after time that we’re not supposed to do movies, TV and toys. We’ve sold something like 8 million toys. If you have a strong brand, you can do anything.”

“It’s really important that we don’t punish the player,”

“There’s a great sense of accomplishment when you finally clear that level you’ve been stuck on for days. “Angry Birds” was built to be a hit. We were very analytical about it,” he said. “We built 51 games before ‘Angry Birds,’ so it wasn’t an overnight success.”

So the big question is what is next for Rovio and the Angry Birds?
