Apple to move into Grand Central Station

At 23,000 sq ft, the floor space on the east balcony, which if anyone who knows the building will realise that this space is actually a restaurant. However, it seems that Apple is willing to pay Metrazur around $5 million to cancel their lease.

With four stores already operating in New York, haven’t they got enough, well according to an Apple spokesperson who spoke earlier this week;

“Our four stores in Manhattan are incredibly popular with customers and we’re excited to bring the Apple retail experience to this incredible location,”

It seems that because of planning restrictions, this store is likely to be one of the first without the standard glass structure, there are other restrictions in place too, so you have to wonder why go through all of that for a store, well it has to be image and status.
