It looks like third party developers are looking to get Window 8 OS apps up and running as soon as possible. In fact there are a couple that are already being demonstrated and all of this with so little known about the operating system too, have a look at these two apps.
There are two apps around so far, one from USA Today;
In preparation for the Windows 8 release, this app is being built to take advantage of the touch-first, native environment of Windows 8, while retaining the look and feel of the Windows Metro UI and show casing the content of USA Today.
The other is a social travelling app concept by Jetstream Software;
Jetstream has worked extensively with each new Microsoft Operating system long before it is released. We’ve been building applications on Windows 7 since early betas. By the time most companies begin development on applications for a new operating system, we’ve been using it daily for months. We’ve learned the pitfalls, what works, and most importantly, what does not.
It really does seem that there is a great deal of interest in the Windows 8 operating system and why not, as Microsoft will be opening up to developers soon in order for them to get on with producing the apps that consumers will demand once the devices start hitting the retail sector.
