It looks as if there will be a battle of the doughnut later this month when Greggs the bakers starts it first digital marketing campaign, with a range of new doughnut flavours like Strawberry Milkshake, Jaffa Cake, Triple Chocolate and Coconut Snowball. Each doughnut will be getting its one Facebook and Twitter page so that consumers will be able to vote for the best one. The winner will be announced at the Greggs Doughnut Awards. However, consumers will not be missing out, because Greggs are offering 100,000 free doughnut vouchers on the bakers Facebook page from the 12th September.
According to Graeme Nash, who is the head of marketing at Greggs, he said;
“These new products are such a big step forward for us in terms of innovation and product development, we needed a campaign that not only celebrated the launch of four new products but really brought them to life for our customers.”
