Some time ago, we spoke of a Nikes plans to produce a limited edition of the shoes as worn by Marty McFly in the Back To The Future II movie. Well now, these are real and are up for auction on eBay because these are a limited edition with only 1500 pairs being made! To show just how cool these trainers are Nike has produced a neat video to get people’s imaginations going and the bid coming in. There are already hundreds of bids on site and the average bid seems to be around $4,000 per pair so far. You can begin your bidding here on the Nike Mag eBay site.
These are the details of the shoes and bidding process from the Nike Mag site;
You are looking at the rarest of Nike Footwear. For 22 years, they have existed only in the year 2015 on Marty McFly’s feet. Today they are finally a reality. Famed Nike designer Tinker Hatfield and footwear innovator Tiffany Beers have returned to recreate the footwear legend. Based on an original movie prop used in Back to the Future Part II, the 2011 Nike MAG shoes have been entirely rebuilt and perfected. All net proceeds going directly to the Michael J Fox Foundation, supporting sufferers of Parkinson’s disease.
