The Global Face Of Social Media

There is no doubt that social media is broad term that covers blogging, social networking and even micro blogging now, but around the world is social media having the same impact or are there regional differences? Because of the lack of data from China and India, these countries are not featured and that is a shame because of these two countries are big social media users.

However, for the purpose of this exercise the countries used will be; Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA. Although Facebook is clearly the dominant force across the board and borders, other social networks such as Twitter and LinkedIn are not fairing so well in the wider world.
