Broadband users living in the areas of Bradwell Abbey in Milton Keynes, Highams Park in North London, Ashford in Middlesex, Chester South, York and St Austell! Will soon be getting the chance to surf the net at speeds up to 100 Mbps, or rather next year according to BT. This will be a full fibre broadband service roll out, that uses the same technology that is currently being tested in Kesgrave, just outside of Ipswich in Suffolk.
According to BT Openreach’s chief executive Liv Garfield who said in a statement;
“Improving the UK’s broadband infrastructure will help our high-tech, digital industries grow. All our fibre products are fit for the future, and these developments show that to be the case. As always, we want to go further and faster, and so our journey doesn’t end here.”
One thing is for sure, this is just six small areas, sure broadband connection speeds are around 100 Mbps is cool! However, this is not going to people who are living in rural regions who broadband does not exist.
