It is believed that after many rumours and speculation that Microsoft may be interested in stopping the sale of Zune HD devices, it may have finally happened but in this case, it seems to have been all by mistake! Suddenly Zune HD was removed from the Microsoft Zune website; everything had gone lock, stock and barrel. However, later no doubt following enquiries about this, Microsoft claims that the whole thing was a simple mistake and as this has forced their hand, it appears that they may as well keep it off the site anyway, by the looks of it!
According to information that is claimed to have been found on the Zune Support page;
“We recently announced that, going forward, Windows Phone will be the focus of our mobile music and video strategy, and that we will no longer be producing Zune players. So what does this mean for our current Zune users? Absolutely nothing. Your device will continue to work with Zune services just as it does today. And we will continue to honour the warranties of all devices for both current owners and those who buy our very last devices. Customer service has been, and will remain a top priority for us.”
