By now, you would have thought that the Smartphone game Angry Birds would have bit the dust! However, no, two years on, this game just keeps growing and there is even a new character coming out for Halloween.
According to Andrew Stalbow, who is a senior executive at Rovio Entertainment, speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit;
“The brand and the fans are at the heart of everything we do. It’s the one game that my five-year-old son plays with his grandfather. We want to make it into a digital media entertainment franchise.”
With over four hundred million downloads the game just keeps moving on and now it has a foot in the market that internet companies have struggled to reach, China! If there is ever anything that could show people the power of the app, Angry Birds has to be it.
