Software Problems Means Recall For X-Type Jaguars

It seems that as we become more reliant on technology in our everyday lives technical issues will no doubt begin to pop up in the most unlikely places. such as, the recall initiated by Jaguar Cars. The company have been contacting the owners of the X-Type car built between 2006 and 2010 there are around 17,678 of these cars on the road and because of a glitch in the cars software that controls the cruise control feature owners are being asked to bring them in for a software upgrade!

According to a spokesperson from the company;

“Jaguar has identified that should an error with certain interfacing systems be detected the cruise control system will be disabled and an error message displayed to the driver on the instrument cluster. This potential problem was spotted by one of our employees. No customer has been affected and there had been no accidents or injuries.”
