The Murata Assistance Robot

As we have seen from their cycling robot! Murata have developed a neat balancing system that allows the robot to sense and make adjustments to its posture, which is something they have used in this assistance car design.

The car is able to balance itself so well, that it is believed that this car could help people to walk, carry shopping and could even be a push chair for babies. The car can be controlled with a push or pull of the finger making it easy to control.

Clearly, this is prototype and costs will feature heavily in the production of this machine, so it is safe to say that this is not going to be cheap to start off with.
