Following reports that the computer systems inside some of the nuclear sites in Iran have been attacked by the Duqu virus, experts within Iran are starting to fight back according to a statement! The world was alerted to the virus by the security firm Symantec; they found a virus running a similar to Stuxnet.
However unlike Stuxnet, which was designed to cripple systems, it seems that Duqu’s mission is gather data with a view to take over system via remote control.
According to the head of Iran’s civil defence organization, Gholamreza Jalali, he said;
“We are in the initial phase of fighting the Duqu virus,”
“The final report which says which organizations the virus has spread to and what its impacts are has not been completed yet.
“All the organizations and centres that could be susceptible to being contaminated are being controlled,”
