Google Street View Takes To The Slopes

Just when you thought that you have found a safe haven from the Google Street camera, they begin to travel the down the ski runs of Squaw Valley in Northern California, Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado, and Whistler Blackcomb in Canada. For this purpose, the search giant has been using an impressive snowmobile that can carry the 360 degree camera setup.

According to Ryan Falor, who is the Product Manager, for Street View Special Collections, he said on a posting on the Official Google Blog;

From the streets to the slopes, Street View in Google Maps recently updated its special collections to include a number of new ski resorts, so you can tour some of the world’s most beautiful ski terrain right from your browser. Whether you’re planning your annual trip to your favourite resort or hunting for an exciting new adventure, Street View can transport you to your desired destination. Tour a few of our favourite ski resorts below.
