When Markus Thompson a photographer and diver found a Canon EOS 1000D on the sea bed he probably never had any idea about the adventure that was about to take place! He found the Canon EOS 1000D off the coast of Vancouver, BC at the bottom of Deep Bay.
Once back home he was able to remove the memory card and view the contents, it showed that the camera has been underwater for a year and yet with the help of Google+ he was able to find the owner within a few days, now that is what you call the power of the social network.
According to the Markus Thompson’s posting on his Google+ account;
Approximately 50 pictures on the card from a family vacation. If you know a fire fighter from British Columbia whose team won the Pacific Regional Firefit competition, has a lovely wife and (now) 2 year old daughter – let me know. I would love to get them their vacation photos
