Just How Much Is Your ID Worth?

We all know about ID theft, but do we know just how big a business this is and how much would the personal ID of someone be worth to the criminals. These are questions that can be answered as research in this area shows. Apparently the average persons ID is worth around $5,000 (£3,200), which doesn’t seem like a lot, but in the US alone nine million ID’s are stolen each year, which builds up to a massive $37 (£24) million. Amazingly, it turns out that nearly half of the victims know the ID thief.
