In the New Year, the world’s largest social networking site Facebook will be launching a new advertising feature into the feed of users; the products will be chosen on the basis of what the user has commented on or “Liked” through their pages. There are already small adverts on the pages, but this change will mean that these will not be missed as they will be more visible than before.
According to a Facebook spokesperson they said:
“Starting early next year, we will gradually begin showing sponsored stories in news feed.”
“Our goal is to do this thoughtfully and slowly.”
“We hope to show people no more than one sponsored story in their news feeds per day and the story will be clearly labelled.”
