It is now nine months since the latest version of the Chrome browser has been out for testing, but it has taken that long for Google to include malware protection for users.
Now version 17 Beta of the Chrome Browser will be able to detect known malicious websites using the safe browsing API software, which blocks a download executed by suspect domains.
According to the Google developer Dominic Hamon, he said;
“Remember, no technical mechanism can ever protect you completely from malicious downloads. You should always be careful about which files you download and consider the reputation of their source,”
