Sometimes you have to wonder why businesses do certain things, is it to help their customers or gain some media coverage for their brand? Well the burger chain Wimpy has an idea being used in some South African branches.
The company use the sesame seeds on the bun to create a message in Braille, but surely, when the reader runs their finger over the bun the seeds are going to fall off and therefore the message has been lost or changed.
According to the text attached to the video, this is why Wimpy decided to go with the Braille design;
Wimpy wanted to let visually impaired people know that they offered Braille menus in all of their restaurants. To spread the word we built Braille burgers that blind people could actually read. With the help of skilled chefs, we took sesame seeds and meticulously placed them on burger buns so that the seeds formed Braille.
