The FBI Looks At Social Networking For New App

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking to social media in order to find an app that could help the organisation gather intelligence in order to prevent threats at home or anywhere in the world.

According to the page posted on the FBI website, the idea is;

“Social media has become a primary source of intelligence because it has become the premier first response to key events and the primal alert to possible developing situations.”

There are concerns from certain organisations on the grounds of privacy and freedom of speech, because social networking by its very nature connects people from all corners of the world.
