Wikileaks Founder Records Simpsons Guest Appearance

 

He maybe under house arrest, but that has not managed to keep Wikileaks founder Julian Assange quiet, in fact with all of this time on his hands he has even been able to record a guest appearance for the top US show The Simpsons. Not only that, this will be the 500th episode of animation and therefore is going to be prime viewing for many fans. In the episode, Homer and Marge fear that they are about to be thrown out of town, so in order to lie low they go on a short break only to find the Julian Assange is their new neighbour!

According to The Simpsons executive producer, Al Jean, he said in an interview;

“He’s a controversial figure, and there’s a good reason he’s controversial,”

He continued by saying;

“There was discussion internally whether or not to have him on the show, but ultimately we went ahead and did it. We wanted to make sure it was satirical, and he was willing to do that.”

The Assange Simpsons episode will air on the 19th February in the US.
