So How Do Shares Perform After The IPO

There has been a lot in the news recently about Facebook going public, will they or won’t they? Well we now know that the social network has filed for its Initial Public Offering (IPO) with the shares being traded probably as early as May this year!

The initial IPO is for around $5 billion in stock, which could mean Facebook being valued at a massive $100 billion if the shares manage to hold up and of course grow.

So how have other tech giants performed after their IPO? This cool graphic from Statista shows that it can be a bit of a rocky road, but as this is Facebook surely the shares will grow, won’t they?
