300 Mbps Broadband From BT In 2013

Following trials of fibre to the premises (FTTP) broadband services by  BT in St Agnes, Cornwall the provider has decided that the way to go now is to offer an “On Demand!” service to those who want this superfast broadband starting in 2013.

According to Mike Galvin of Openreach, the broadband part of the BT group;

“By December 2014, two-thirds of the country will have access to ultra-fast fibre if they want it”

“We think this is an absolute game changer. Overnight you’ve gone form a network that’s got the potential to do 80 Mbps across two thirds of the country to a network that on demand can do 300 Mbps.”
