In a couple of days it will be all red roses, hearts and chocolates or so many females of the species will be hoping. Therefore, to celebrate the day of love we thought that it might be a good idea to have a little look into the world of Valentine’s Day to see exactly what it is all about.
Apparently, this is not one of those days that have been made by the makers of cards and chocolates, according to the graphic by Frugal Dad; this is tradition that dates back as far as the Roman Empire. But still, there is a little bit of commercialisation thrown in there for good measure.
After all, there are 180 million valentines card exchanged and for those with a sweet tooth eight billion candy hearts will be sold prior to the big day.
