This is the stuff that dreams are made of, the UK’s largest supermarket chain, Tesco, selling the all new iPad for just £50, whereas the price is actually £559 for the 4G 64 GB version. We will have ten please! However, of course this was an error or typo or both and despite what many people think a retailer does not have to sell something to a customer if it has been priced up wrongly.
According to a spokesperson for Tesco they said;
“We like to offer our customers unbeatable value, but unfortunately this is an IT error that is currently being corrected.”
“That no money would be withdrawn from customers who had placed orders.”
So, should Tesco sell the new iPad for just £50 to those consumers who were quick enough to order?
