A while Sky TV spoke about the launch of a new internet based television service called NowTV, but it seems to have been taking a low profile recently, yet according to the NowTV.com website, a page states that the service will be launched this summer, good news for those folks with a decent internet connection.
According to Sky’s chief executive Jeremy Darroch, he said at the Guardian newspaper’s Changing Media Summit in London;
“As the quality of the TV experience over broadband has improved, people have become more willing to consume content in different ways,”
What makes this service so different;
“That presents a great opportunity to distribute our programmes which wasn’t there even a year or two ago.
He finished off by saying;
“With the long-awaited explosion of connected devices now upon us, this opportunity is only going to grow. And it’s something we believe is highly complementary to our existing service.”
