It may sound like science fiction, but technology has been quietly working away searching the sky for signs of life and since the launch Keplar Space Telescope, NASA has been able to find over seven hundred planets and flagged around two and half thousand possibilities. This means at the current rate of processing NASA scientists believe that it is only a matter of time before an Earth like or Goldilocks planet (Not too hot & not too cold) is discovered. In fact, we should expect an announcement within two years and that would be something special.
According to Shawn Domagal-Goldman, who is a researcher at NASA Headquarters in Washington, he said in a statement.
“I believe Kepler will find a ‘Goldilocks planet’ within the next two years,”
“We’ll be able to point at a specific star in the night sky and say ‘There it is — a planet that could support life!'”
