A camera that can pick out images from around the corner may sound a little far fetched, but according to the MIT Media Lab, it is possible and they have produced an interesting video to prove their point. It seems that putting into practice may not be all that far away either, which means applications such as looking inside working machinery or areas that have been contaminated.

This video shows how scientists at the MIT Media Lab (www.media.mit.edu/) reconstruct a hidden object using scattered laser light. Future applications may include seeing in dangerous or inaccessible locations, such as inside machinery with moving parts, or in highly contaminated areas.
