Google Doodle For St George & Sinclair

In the time honoured tradition of Google doodles, the search giant has come up a couple of winners for today. Their doodle for the 23rd April celebrates St Georges Day. This is of course, England’s national day although not celebrated in the same manner as the other UK national days.

There is a second part to today’s doodle and this part celebrates the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. This was the third computer from Sinclair, it had colour, 8 bit graphics and would have set you back around £125 for the basic 16 KB machine, yes (16 KB!).
