Laptops And iPhone Replaced By Potatoes And Bottles

Visitors to Manchester in the UK are being told to be aware of conmen offering iPhones and laptops at bargain prices following complaints for consumers who thought that they were buying an iPhone or laptop, only to find later that they had bought potatoes, bottles or water or cans of coke.

According to Detective Constable Michelle Wilkinson, she said that;

“It is likely they are continuing to target people across Greater Manchester and I would urge anyone who is approached by them to not give them money.”

“Please be mindful that if you are approached by anyone who are selling electrical goods it is highly likely they have been stolen and by buying the goods, you will also be breaking the law by handling stolen items,”
