It looks like Suffolk County Council will be bringing out Smartphone apps for its customers after buying the cloud based mobile app publishing service Weejot by Jadu from the UK governments G-Cloud Cloudstore. This piece of kit will help the council build and manage mobile apps without the need for any specialist app development knowledge.
According to Mark Adams-Wright, who is the CIO at Suffolk County Council, he said:
“We’re looking to make a step change in how we service our customers and mobile is fast becoming the de facto standard for accessing services – we want to respond to that.
“Weejot fitted our needs very well. It’s easy to create, deploy new apps and connect to content and data systems. Above all, it’s available for all mobile devices and tablets.”
