The micro blogging site Twitter has updated its bird logo to a more modern feel; it is apparently created from three sets of overlapping circles, which of course is a very apt idea at the moment what with Google etc. To some the logo may not appear to look any different from the old design, but that is probably what the changes are all about a subtle change that keeps the popular bird logo going. Let us know what you think about new Twitter bird logo?
According to a posting on the Twitter blog by Doug Bowman, the Creative Director at Twitter, these are the details on how they came about the new logo design;
Our new bird grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry. This bird is crafted purely from three sets of overlapping circles — similar to how your networks, interests and ideas connect and intersect with peers and friends. Whether soaring high above the earth to take in a broad view, or flocking with other birds to achieve a common purpose, a bird in flight is the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.
