Tablets have taken off in a direction and one of the latest additions is the smart looking Xperia™Tablet S from Sony. It has everything that you would expect from this brand, but more to point is how easy it is to use. Sony have made this tablet very user friendly and that makes a real difference as there is nothing worse than a device that looks good, but behaves badly!
The Xperia™ Tablet S has a nice sized 23.8 cm (9.4”) screen with a 1280 x 800 of pixel resolutions and there is a 1.0 mega pixel HD web camera to the front and an 8.0 mega pixel HD camera to the rear. It will be running on the latest Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system and is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor. There is a choice of storage starting with 16 GB, 32 GB up to 64 GB.
Connectivity comes from the handy Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and 3G if that particular model has been chosen. Other features include a Multi Port, SD Card, Microphone, Headphone Out and Stereo Speaker. The tablet measures up at 241.2 mm (W) x 8.8 mm to 11.85 mm (H) x 174.4 mm (D) and weighs in at 570g (Wi-Fi model) and 585g (3G model) with the 6000 mAh battery pack installed that according to Sony will provide up to ten hours of Internet browsing or twelve hours of video playback.
The tablet market is getting crowded and it will be case of survival of the fittest, from our point of view it looks like the Sony Xperia™Tablet S is one of the fittest tablets on the market.
