If there is anything to get those retro gamers smiling, it might just be this project found on Kickstarter. It is by NMI Laser and it mashes the classic game of chess with the retro styling of space invaders, how cool is this going to be? The project is already fully funded, so this is going to happen, soon.
According to the NMI Laser, this is what the Laser Cut Space Invader Chess game has to offer;
We had a vision of Space Invader characters playing chess. Nostalgia for arcade games of our youth and a yearning to create something fun with our laser was the driver behind all of this. What a strange twist to take the classic arcade game and meld it with chess.
This project is currently on the crowd funding site Kickstarter and there are plenty of rewards available to those who choose to back the project before the end of February.
