The Death Star Project Appears On Kickstarter

A while ago, there was a petition to the White House asking the US Government to fund and build a fully operational Death Star, the White House said no and you might have thought that would be the end of it. However, now the Death Star project is on the crowd funding site Kickstarter where it is looking to raise the initial £20 ($32) million, will it happen? It might just work!

These are the details of how the funding will be spent and what happens after;

Goal – £20,000,000 for more detailed plans and enough chicken wire to protect reactor exhaust ports.

Stretch Goal – £543,000,000,000,000,00 ($850,000,000,000,000,000) to secure full funding for actual construction.

Open Source – To keep costs lower the entire project will use open source hardware and software.

Risks and Challenges – The only risk is the power of the Force. The main challenge is assuring Kickstarter that this is a joke and not a serious project. As proof, the goal has been set high enough to make successful funding almost impossible.
