This is a project that has been created with the visually impaired in mind; it is a navigation device that uses Braille to help the user get around the city. It is early days for this at the moment, but it does appear to be a promising idea and so expect it to be in the stores in the future.
These are the features for the Blind Maps: Concept for a Braille Interface Navigation device;
Our concept focuses on the visually impaired, and explores a device to improve their ability to discover and navigate through a city. This was part of a 36 hour project for the Copenhagen Institute of interaction Design
Currently this is a concept design, so we have no prices or details on availability.
