There is no doubt that being outside in the sunshine is great while it lasts, but there are hidden dangers from being exposed to the Suns UV rays, which sort of spoils the enjoyment of a lovely sunny day. Of course, there are sun blocks available, but there is something even more effective and they call it the SunFriend. It is a device that is worn on the wrist like a watch and like a watch is provides important information.
The devices built in sensor can be set to suit certain skin types and then on the face of the device, there are eleven LED’s, once all eleven are lit the wearer has reached their daily UV limit. It is clever how the SunFriend device works, because its not a timer, it actually measure the UV exposure and therefore, if the wearer goes inside or the cloud cover is thicker for a while, then the UV exposure is going to be less.
We do not know how much the SunFriend device is going to cost at retail, but it can be pre-ordered at the moment from around $50 or £32, which is not a huge price to pay for peace of mind.
