This is a new collection of watches based on those used by the military during WW1. The Helgray range consists of four styles each with its own look and feel, yet they all use the same case, glass and strap. It is a great place to start a new collection or as an addition to an existing collection. The whole purpose of these designs is to provide the collector with an affordable and practical WW1 style watch. There are four watches in the range these are; The Field Officer with Swiss Ronda 515 movement, this is the basic field watch that comes with a classic three hand form design and there is a date window in the number six position. The California with 6004B movement, this design shows off the legendary “California” style dial at its best with a two hand set up and there is a handy second register at number six position. The GMT with the 514.24H movement, is based on the classic dress watch with the 3 hand face design and it has benefit of a fourth hand that the wearer can set as an independent 2nd time zone while in the 24 hour mode. The Skyfighter with the 5021.D movement is the famous WW1 pilot style watch with a two register chronograph display and a handy with date window positioned at the number six.
Each watch comes with a glass made from hardlex and have a flat with bevelled edge, while the case is made from stainless steel 316L. They are water resistant down to 3 ATM (30 m), the strap measures 20 mm and is made from buffalo grain leather in a classic medium brown colour. The watch specifications the same for all watches in the range, with the case diameter at 42 mm, case thickness at 10.9 mm and the lug width at 20 mm. The Helgray range of military watches will be launching this summer with a retail price of around $250, but for a short while, any one model of the range can be pre ordered from just $175.
