To look at the Trinity is a foot long white plastic tube, but pull out the blades and you suddenly realise that this is actually a small wind turbine that has been designed to charge up smartphones and any other devices that use a USB for charging the battery. It has three blades that produce enough power through the 15W generator to charge the built in battery pack that will hold 15000 mAh, this should be enough to fully charge a smartphone’s battery up to six times. This is a great way to charge device while being away from mains power, such as camping trips or just out for a long hike. This is a real alternative to those solar powered battery chargers that are in the same market.
The Trinity is made from plastic and aluminum, has a power outputs of 5V/1A and an input of 5V/1A. This device is compatible with; Apple, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG smartphones and most other USB chargeable devices. As for for dimensions it measures 12” (30.48 cm) when closed, 23” (58.42 cm) when opened and weighs in at around 4 lbs (1.8 kg). The Trinity wind turbine will be launching early next year when it will be priced at $400, but if you are quick it can be pre ordered at the low price of $250, which is a significant saving.
