Here is a cool idea from Tekoia; it is a remote control app for Android powered Smartphone’s. This is new so there are bound to be some bugs and it’s in beta so you have to expect changes to be ongoing. However, the general idea of the app is for the user to use their Smartphone as a control for any connected media device. As virtually anything that connects to a mains power supply can be connected to the internet, then that means a lot of devices. To show you how diverse the SureMote is here is a list of some devices that can readily connect and be controlled by the SureMote universal controller.
These devices include; Asus, Google TV and Sony media streaming devices, the iRobot Roomba, all sorts of coloured LED lights and just about legacy IR appliance, the list is virtually endless. This is one idea that could change the way we live because a connected device can be controlled from anywhere using a Smartphone and that means never having to walk into a dark house again, but that is just the beginning. The SureMote is currently in beta and can be downloaded from Google Play for Android powered devices.
