There was a time when the online payment service PayPal was only any good for buying stuff from eBay and other retailers who could be bothered to offer this option to customers. However, with the rise in Smartphone use and apps, this has opened up a completely new market for PayPal. Regular users of the service will have noticed changes over the years and now PayPal has a new logo, its different from the old logo, which could be confused with an app that provides parking services. Now there are two solid letter p’s in two different shades of blue making it easy to spot.
According Christina Smedley, who is the vice president for Global Brand at PayPal, she said on the firm’s website;
We believe in a world that works for people. That’s why everything we do at PayPal revolves around YOU and something we call The People Economy. From its first day to today, PayPal has revolutionized the way people across the globe think about and use money.
Naturally, it is going to take some time for this new logo to roll out across the system and for businesses to change their payment option notices. Times like this can be a little daunting where a logo is showing up differently, but in time, the new logo should be everywhere.
