Sous Vide is a popular method of cooking using a vacuum, its popular because the temperature of the food can be easily regulated making sure that the food is evenly cooked. However, not everyone has access to a vacuum machine to seal the food in plastic and that is where the Anova cooking system comes in. The Anova consists of a heating element that seals over a pot of water just set the timer and the Anova does the rest. There is a little more to this device though such as being able to control the device with an iPhone through a Bluetooth connection and there is a handy app with popular food cooking times already built in.
The Anova has an array of sensors, such as the Wet Sensor, Auto-shut off and Temp sensor. As you would expect, there are plenty of controls too such as the easy to read LED display, the temperature display with a C & F readout, the timer in hours and minutes, a scroll wheel to increase or decrease and a 24/7 display too. The Anovo will be launching around October time when it will be priced at around $170, but it can be pre ordered at $160 for now.
