Just in case you have not noticed the World Cup is taking place this summer in Brazil and in order for businesses to make the most of it they are having to resort to some cool football related marketing tactics, some being better than others! One such piece of marketing involves football, food and flicking, is there a better combo for lunchtime?
So, check out the plan designed by the Brazilian fast food giant Giraffas! They realise that their customers are constantly using their smartphones while eating their food and therefore it seems sensible to use this and football to encourage them to come back more for their lunch and try to get to the top of the leader board.
They have printed paper football pitches for the trays, an app that turns the user’s smartphone in a goal with goalkeeper. The player creates a ball by rolling up a piece of paper and now it is just down to how many goals they can score by flicking the ball at the goal, it sounds so simple and yet it looks so addictive just like all of the best games.
