Before anything else, we will look at what makes the Fire Phone different from any other Smartphone on the market at the moment. There are three features that Amazon claim are unique to this Smartphone, there first is Mayday, Kindle users will already be familiar with this feature, it’s a free and live on screen support system that is available 24/7 365 days a year. The next feature is Dynamic Perspective, this is a useful feature that allows the user to access shortcuts, auto scroll, navigate menus and swivel all with one hand. There are so many uses for this, such as shopping with the new Amazon store app, play games at a different level and generally, use the device in a completely different way than you could with your current Smartphone.
Finally, there is the Firefly technology that has been built into the design of the Fire Phone. With this you are able to carry out everyday tasks such as; surfing the internet, checking your emails, watching the latest episodes of your favourite TV shows and so on. The Fire Phone seems to have been built following the wants and needs of every Smartphone user. The Fire Phone really does fit the bill for the modern age, but has it come too late? There is of course a ready made market of Kindle users, so this is a great place to start! However, have Amazon done enough to convince the owners of Android, iOS and Windows powered devices to switch over to Amazon? Only time will tells us that, as we need to get hands on with the Fire Phone.
