Microsoft Office Is Now Free On iOS and Android!

There is nothing like something that is free and it does not even matter if there is a catch either when it comes to getting Office on an Android powered tablet for free, just like those lucky iPad users have been getting for a few months now. The move is still a surprise, but it falls in line with the software giant’s plans for mobile Office. So from now on there is no need to have an Office 365 subscription to edit documents or even store them in the cloud, which is great news.

Microsoft Office Is Now Free

Only a few days ago Microsoft and Dropbox agreed a deal that allows Office users use its features and store data online without having to hand over any cash all. If you are still waiting for catch, there is not one, the only thing is that business users need not apply! There are plenty of people who have be juggling documents, images and other stuff between Office and cloud storage sites like Dropbox, this move just makes it easier. The reason for this move is simple, Microsoft want people to become fans of Office and giving it away is a good way of doing that.

According to John Case the Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Office, he says on the Official Microsoft Blog, that;

Today we’re taking the next major step to bring Office to everyone, on every device, and I’m excited to announce that Office apps customers love are coming to Android tablets with the start of our Office for Android tablet Preview. We’re also delivering Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps for iPhone and updates for the iPad apps–to ensure a consistently beautiful and productive Office experience on every device. Our vision of Office everywhere wouldn’t be complete without Windows, so I’m pleased to confirm that new, touch-optimized Office apps for Windows 10 are in the works and we’ll have more to share soon.
