One of the biggest lies that we are all guilty of, is ticking the box that says we have read and understand the terms of service, terms and conditions and the privacy permissions of apps and other services. So, in this experiment, the Privacy Project are highlighting the privacy permissions of the apps on Smartphone’s by getting the owners of the device to read them out aloud. How different they sound when you read them out! It really does make you think about what you are agreeing to sometimes.
Some of the most popular apps on your Smartphone ask for permissions that expose data to outside sources. We asked people on the street to read some of these permissions out loud so we could capture their reactions.
If you are interested in taking control of your privacy, you can get the facts from the Privacy Project!
