Remote Controlled Tie Interceptor Quadcopter In Action!

Why have an ordinary quadcopter when you can have a cool looking Tie Interceptor quadcopter that is bound to create a fuss whenever it’s seen flying around night sky. This is a brilliant piece of design that really does look like the Empire has arrived and they are about to insist that Earth becomes part of the Galactic Empire. However, seriously, there is some interesting technology involved in creating this cool Tie Interceptor.

The Tie Interceptor quadcopter is a made using a Prophecy 335 with a custom frame made from carbon and aluminium, it is powered by a T-Motors 2208-18 1100kV motor, the speed controllers are T-Motors T30A and the propellers are HQprop 8×4.5SF. It has a Naza v1 Flight controller and a Futaba 14SG radio system with the FrSky TFR6 receiver. While the ground camera used in the video is a Gopro 4 in Silver with 1080p-50.

The Quad & battery weigh in at 810 grams and the Tie Interceptor machine measures in at 400 grams with the LiPo 4S-1800mAh battery installed. If you want to create a stir in your neighbourhood then this has to be one of the best ways of doing it, as there are plenty of Star Wars fans out there.
