There was time when the Blackberry was the favourite phone for the young Smartphone user and if Blackberry has their way; it could be again with the launch of the all new Smartphone called the Leap. Unlike a lot of Blackberry designs the Leap is a standard looking device that comes with a five inch display offering a 294 PPI, 1280 x 720 resolution and 24 bit colour depth. The Leap will be running on the BlackBerry 10 OS and powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8960 1.5 GHz processor. There is 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of Flash on a microSD memory card, which is expandable up to 128 GB.
It comes with an 8.0 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with a 5x digital zoom and a 2.0 mega pixel fixed focus forward facing camera with a 3x digital zoom. The Leap measures up at 144 mm (H) x 72.8 mm (W) x 9.5 mm (D) and it weighs in at 170 grams with the 2800 mAH non-removable Lithium Ion battery installed. So how much is the Blackberry Leap going to cost? Well it’s going to be cheap at just $275 with no contract and that sounds like a bargain to us.
